Gym-JR — Your Smart Gym Coach

We respect your privacy. This policy explains what data Gym-JR collects, and how we use and protect it.

1. Data We Collect

• Account info: when you sign up with email or Google, we collect your email and name. When you continue as a guest, we collect no email or name.
• Personal data: age, height, weight, and gender — entered by you.
• Workout data: your training schedules, workout logs, and personal records (weights).
• Photos & files: your optional profile picture, and the gym-equipment photos or schedule files/images you capture or upload for analysis.
• Technical identifier: a Firebase User ID to link your data to your account.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To run app features and save and display your progress.
• To design schedules and exercises suited to your data.
• We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3. Artificial Intelligence

When you use equipment scanning, schedule upload, or custom schedule design, we send the image or file along with your basic data (age, height, weight, gender) to Anthropic (Claude) to analyze it and suggest suitable exercises. Images are processed transiently to return the result and are not stored on our servers.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely on Google (Firebase) servers, linked to your account, and transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the app:

• Google Firebase: authentication, data storage, and hosting.
• Anthropic (Claude): analyzing images and files to suggest exercises.

We do not share your data with anyone for marketing or advertising purposes.

6. Device Permissions

• Camera: to photograph and analyze gym equipment.
• Photo Library: to choose a profile picture, upload schedule photos/files, and save your progress photos if you request it.

These permissions are requested only when needed, and you can deny or revoke them anytime in your device settings.

7. Your Controls & Rights

• Export/Import: export a full copy of your data or import it from the "Backup" section.
• Deletion: permanently delete your account and all data from Settings → "Delete Account", or by contacting us.
• You can sign out at any time.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our servers.

9. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13, and requires entering an age of at least 14. If we learn that we have collected data from a child below the permitted age, we will delete it.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data (strict access rules and encryption in transit). However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date above.
